The Mozart Program
In uncountable works of Mozart, we happily, along with the Cellos, chugged away at the Bass-Line, only listening to the beautiful melodies of the singer, violinist or woodwind. In this program the Double Bass takes the part of the First Violin, or sings the Arias that would normally come from tender vocal chords. The velvety soft tone of the “Big Four” and the artistry of the performers of “Circus Bassissimus” create a concert experience that is a real enjoyment for the lover of classical music. The program includes a full String-Quartett and popular melodies from the Master: Rondo “Alla Turca”, “Eine kleine Nachtmusik” or “Ave Verum corpus est”. The musical (or rather Music Cultural) highpoint of the programme is THE ultimate Mozart opera in which Giovanni seduces Figaro`s lover Susanne with his Magic Flute. Those familiar with previous programmes of “Circus Bassissimus” (see CD) know that the Ensemble’s sense of humour only adds to the respect and artistic sincerity they dedicate to their projects.
